Dear colleagues,

as announced, it is my duty to announce the next downtime for the Labfolder
MPDL Instance. This will be on Thursday 11 March from 8 a.m. CET.

With this downtime the Labfolder MPDL Instance will be updated to the
version 2.3.2 (https://www.labfolder.com/release-notes/cloud/). This update
contains the new group concept for Labfolders Material Database and will
therefore allow you to manage inventories based on your Labfolder group(s).

This requires a safety precaution on your part:

Together with your local IT admin, you should be able to generate a list of
all registered users on your local server and send an informative newsletter
to those.

Prior to this update, we recommend to temporarily assign all inventory lists
to the respective Labfolder group admin - this is a precaution to prevent
the loss of access to certain inventory lists and to maintain the validity
of all your material links.

As a group admin or inventory list creator, please follow these steps:

• Go to Manage > Material Database

• Select each of your existing inventory lists individually

• Go to the inventory Options > Manage Permissions

• Make sure your Labfolder group admin is the only owner

When accessing the Material Database, after the release was successfully
installed on your local server, you will be prompted with a pop-up window.
This will enable you to assign the inventory lists back to the entire group.
Ensuring that no one will lose access to the created material lists, it is
recommended that you review the share settings of each Material Database
category.

In addition to this new feature, the release further encompasses a drop-down
attribute for inventory lists, the possibility to copy/paste images from the
clipboard into your Labfolder entries and the addition of API endpoint to
create and extract templates.

Please don't hesitate to contact the Labfolder support team
(feedback at labfolder.com) if you have any further questions.

Kind regards from Munich,

Yves Vincent Grossmann
