Dear All,

my name is Peter Wabitsch and I am a member of the Berlin 13 organisation team at MPDL.

On behalf of Ralf Schimmer we would like to thank you very much for your feedback on our draft program of the Berlin 13 conference and the most helpful suggestions concerning contents and possible speakers. As Ralf Schimmer has already confirmed in his email to you on November 30th, alternative ways to open access beyond the big commercial publishers will be discussed as well. On day two, there will be two sessions to showcase different models. Following your proposal, we will also include several contributions dealing with the financial aspects of the transformation, which is indeed an important factor.

As a next step we will contact potential speakers. In case you have any further suggestions in this regard, please send us your ideas.

Since there are no objections to the general conference schedule, we will publish the preliminary programme and open up the registration form on https://oa2020.org within the next few days.

Thank you very much for your support!

Kind regards,
Peter Wabitsch
